Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 1, 2026
1. Introduction
Career Plan Network Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Faraday, an AI-powered workflow automation platform available via web application and Chrome browser extension (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what controls you have over it.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
2. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to all users of the Faraday web application and the Faraday Chrome browser extension. The Service is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 13, do not use the Service.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: First name, last name, email address, and password when you register.
- Workflow inputs: Text, instructions, goals, and other content you submit when running workflows through Faraday (e.g., a recruiting brief, a campaign goal, a research prompt).
- Taste Profile data: Preferences, style choices, feedback ratings, and corrections you provide to help Faraday learn your standards and preferences over time. This includes explicit ratings you give to agent outputs and preferences you state conversationally.
- Third-party credentials (via OAuth): When you connect Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Calendar) or Twitter/X, we receive OAuth tokens from those providers. We do not store your passwords for those services.
3.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited within the app, features used, workflow types triggered, session duration, and interaction patterns.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and time zone.
- Log data: Server logs that record requests made to our infrastructure, timestamps, and error events.
- Cookie and tracking data: We use cookies and similar technologies for session management, authentication, and understanding how users interact with the Service. See Section 9 for more detail.
3.3 Information Collected via the Chrome Extension
The Faraday Chrome extension collects the following:
- Current tab URL and page title: When you activate the extension, it reads the URL and title of your active tab to provide contextual workflow assistance (e.g., passing a LinkedIn profile URL or article URL to a Faraday workflow).
- Page content (on user action only): When you explicitly invoke the extension on a page, it may read visible text content from that page to pass as input to a workflow. The extension does not passively or continuously read page content.
- Extension interaction data: Actions taken within the extension interface (e.g., which workflow you triggered, whether you submitted or cancelled).
The extension does not:
- Monitor or record your browsing history passively.
- Collect data from pages where the extension is not actively invoked by you.
- Inject advertisements or track you for advertising purposes.
- Access or collect data from password fields or payment forms.
All data collected through the extension is transmitted securely to Faraday's backend servers to execute the workflow you requested.
3.4 Information from Third-Party Integrations
When you connect external accounts, we may receive and process data from those services as part of running your requested workflows:
- Google Gmail: Email content you explicitly include in a workflow (e.g., sending outreach emails, reading replies). We do not read your inbox beyond what is required for the specific workflow you trigger.
- Google Drive and Sheets: Files and spreadsheet data you direct the agent to read from or write to.
- Google Calendar: Event data when workflows involve scheduling or calendar lookups.
- Twitter/X API: Tweet content, account metadata, and engagement data relevant to workflows you initiate.
- Exa (web search): We use Exa to search the public web, including LinkedIn public profiles and Twitter/X, on your behalf when you run research or discovery workflows. We do not access private LinkedIn data or authenticated LinkedIn sessions.
- Browserbase (browser automation): For workflows that require navigating public websites, we use Browserbase to run automated browser sessions. These sessions only access publicly available pages. No private accounts or authenticated sessions are accessed via this tool unless you are explicitly directing the agent to operate within your own authenticated session.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the Service: Running workflows, executing agent tasks, storing results, and delivering outputs.
- To build and maintain your Taste Profile: Personalizing Faraday's outputs to match your quality standards and preferences over time.
- To improve the Service: Analyzing usage patterns, debugging errors, and improving workflow quality and reliability.
- To train and evaluate our AI systems: Workflow inputs and outputs may be used to evaluate agent performance and improve model behavior. See Section 7 for details on how we handle this.
- To communicate with you: Sending transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset), product updates, and support responses.
- To enforce our Terms of Service: Detecting and preventing misuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
- To comply with legal obligations: Responding to lawful requests from public authorities where required.
5. AI Processing and Taste Profiles
Faraday's core value is building a persistent understanding of your preferences, which we call a Taste Profile. This profile is stored on our servers and is used solely to improve the quality of outputs the agent produces for you.
- Your Taste Profile is tied to your account and is not sold or shared with third parties.
- You can request deletion of your Taste Profile by contacting us at the address in Section 13.
- Workflow inputs and outputs may be reviewed by Faraday team members for quality assurance and to improve our evaluation systems. We treat this data with the same level of care as the rest of your personal data.
Faraday uses large language model (LLM) infrastructure (currently OpenAI) to process your workflow inputs and generate outputs. Your inputs are sent to OpenAI's API in accordance with OpenAI's data processing agreements. We do not use OpenAI's default data sharing settings; inputs are not used to train OpenAI's models under our current agreement.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
6.1 Service Providers (Processors)
We share data with third-party vendors who process data on our behalf to operate the Service:
| Provider | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Hosting and infrastructure | All user data stored on our servers |
| Auth0 | Authentication | Email, name, password (hashed), profile picture |
| OpenAI | LLM inference | Workflow inputs and context |
| Browserbase | Browser automation | URLs and instructions for public-site workflows |
| Exa | Web and social search | Search queries generated from your workflow inputs |
| Google (OAuth) | Third-party integrations | OAuth tokens; data accessed per your authorizations |
| Twitter/X (API) | Social media workflows | OAuth tokens; tweet/account data per your authorizations |
Each provider processes your data only as instructed by us and subject to their own data processing agreements.
6.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or investigate fraud.
6.3 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6.4 With Your Consent
We may share your data in other ways if we notify you and you consent to it.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
- Account data: Retained for the life of your account, plus up to 90 days after deletion to allow for account recovery.
- Workflow inputs and outputs: Retained for the duration of your account, used to maintain workflow history and Taste Profile continuity.
- Taste Profile data: Retained for the life of your account. Deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
- Third-party OAuth tokens: Retained until you disconnect the integration or delete your account. You can revoke access at any time from within the Service or from the third-party provider's settings.
- Extension data: Data transmitted from the extension is processed and retained as part of the workflow it was attached to, subject to the same workflow retention rules above.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 12 months for debugging and security purposes, then deleted.
After the applicable retention period, data is deleted or anonymized.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption in transit for all data sent between your browser, the Chrome extension, and our servers.
- Encryption at rest for sensitive stored data.
- Access controls limiting which team members can access user data, on a need-to-know basis.
- OAuth-based authentication for third-party integrations (we never store your passwords for connected services).
No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at admin@talkshopclub.com.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Required for authentication and session management. The Service cannot function without these.
- Analytics cookies: Used to understand how users interact with the Service (e.g., which features are used most). We use this data internally and do not share it with advertising networks.
- Preference cookies: Used to remember settings and preferences within your account session.
The Chrome extension does not use cookies to track you across third-party websites.
You can control cookie settings through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may break core functionality.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or allow workflows to interact with third-party platforms. This privacy policy does not apply to those third parties. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party services you connect to or interact with through Faraday.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that data promptly. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, contact us at admin@talkshopclub.com.
